Howard is a professional freelance photojournalist, born in London, working globally for newspapers, magazines, commercial organizations and photo agencies since 1991.
Howard has worked in 38 different countries worldwide and covered the humanitarian crisis that unfolded as a result of the civil wars in Southern Sudan, Rwanda, Bosnia, Croatia and Kosovo.
During his 20 year career Howard has also taken pictures for television stills publicity in the UK working on the Kilroy Show and Des O'Connor Tonight, taken pictures for Prince Charles, been the parks photographer for Thorpe Park and Chessington World of Adventures, and is the currently the chief photographer for the Mobile World Congress held yearly in Barcelona.
Howard has exhibited at the Association of Photographers, London in 2004 and 2005
Howard's photos regularly appear in magazine features and newspaper articles and are distributed by Zuma Press and Getty Images with whom Howard holds contracts.
Howard works with the latest high-end Canon professional series digital camera equipment and Apple Mac computers. Images can be transmitted via ftp or email whilst on location to meet urgent deadlines. Image retouching service also available.
With bases in both London and Barcelona, Howard is ideally situated to cover assignments in either location as well as further afield.
